Opting OutEmail opt-out is an email marketing approach that gives a subscriber an easy way to show that they no longer want to receive emails from a sender. This process is called unsubscribing. CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 obliges companies to include an unsubscribe link in every email, allowing subscribers to opt-out any time.
SecurityWe take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. We never store credit card information – if payment information is requested, it would be handled and stored by a PCI-compliant third-party service, such as Stripe, PayPal, or QuickBooks (Intuit). While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
